Composite overhead of Cornell University’s College of Architecture, Art & Planning Milstein Hall Studios.

This composite image — the entire 25,000 square feet of Milstein Hall’s L. P. Kwee Studios — was taken by photographer Brett Beyer over the course of three days in November 2011. Approximately 250 photos were captured by the camera suspended 12 feet above the floor. Creating the single seamless image took 10 days of post-production.

Zoom and pan into the image to explore the studo in super high resolution detail. Overall a nice use of mapping technology to expand the physical world.

Very impressive!

Some students, residents worry, will crave a rowdier college experience. Lisa Trader, 36, said she relished that her children, ages 8 and 6, could “just run” freely when they got off the tram. If the neighborhood dynamics changed, she said, perhaps the island’s more idyllic charms would disappear. “I don’t need to go back to college,” she said. “It would be a shame for it to turn into a party island.”

Ms. Torres said Roosevelt Island families need not worry. “This is Cornell,” she said. “One would assume they’ll be working.”

Obviously Ms. Torres has never been to Slope Day.

Oh, Ithaca.

I was there with you, at Cornell. I heard the screams. I try to forget it every day, but… it keeps replaying in my head.
Today I deposited birthday money from my grandparents and mailed a check to Commuter and Parking services, suffering a net birthday-week loss of $10. Sorry Grandma.

I like Cornell…I think they have a terrific team.
